The majestic evergreen balsam fir yields a warm, refreshing essential oil. Native to North America, the tree can reach more than 24 metres in height, and its branches are covered with needles. Throughout history, Native Americans used it for ceremonial and wellness purposes. Today, balsam fir is used mainly for pulp production and construction, but it does not tolerate the pollution typical of cities, so it is more often found in forests where the air is fresh and clean. The oil’s main constituent, ß-Pinene, when applied topically as part of a soothing massage, offers an effective way to calm the skin. Balsam Fir essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the tree bark, producing its characteristically fresh, woody aroma.

Uses
For an invigorating massage, mix two to three drops with Fractionated Coconut Oil.
Mix two to three drops with Epsom salt and add to a hot bath for a refreshing experience at the end of a long day.
Add one drop of oil to your facial cleanser, soap or body wash.
Directions for Use
Topical: For massage, mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil. For a bath, mix 5 drops with 5 ml carrier oil. As a fragrance, mix 1 drop with 10 drops carrier oil. For external use only.
